I look forward to my first play time with a Raptor.........should be close.
I've owned 4 different yamaha quads, and my best comparison is if you cross bred a Warrior and a Banshee, walla, you have the throttle response and power curve of the Predator........stock for stock, its the best dang sport quad out on the market today. Get over the fact that its a Polaris, they really did their home work on it.
Hey Randall, what do you weigh? The Preddy suspension is great for mid sized to bigger riders.........perfect for 185-225 pounders. Not everyone is 16 years old and 125-145 pounds anymore, at least not me.
I've come down from 5-8 feet in the air on my pred, and its like landing in firm jello.......smoother than the dual rate works shocks on my Warrior or Banshee for that matter
I can totally attest to the advertised specs, of 0-50 in 5 seconds, and 0-70 in 10.............this thing revs fast and flys.
Check out my Gallery to see what a nicely set-up TL Predator looks like in action.

Heapster- that is one awesome looing quad. Before, I thought the raptor was the best looking quad out by far, but I believe the black predator has taken the crown. I know if i didnt have my raptor, I would get the predator. That thing is sweet looking! I love my Raptor though so I would have to buy both bikes, lol.

hepster i rode a predator set-up like yours and i was thinking it was a good sand machine, it had all the stuff yours does, the 9 paddle hauler work great, it ran my wifes ds great. the suspension was a lot like a ds, well maybe we'll ride at florence sometime when you are there, i'd like to spend sometime riding around a predator.
