Default 686 cam, piston, jetting ?

I know this is a stupid question but how does the JE 11:1 piston install in the cylinder? It looks pretty obvious that the side with the pear shaped section with what looks like 3 valve pockets goes to the intake and the 2 valve pocket side goes to the exhaust but. . . .

Just wanted to make sure.

I know, I'm a dumbass..

I have the same setup except my head is probably ported more and my valves are cut. I had to use the Stage 2 needles with 180 185 dyno mains.

What would that convert to stock jets? If not I'll just start buying DJ's I already have the stage II kit I'll just need bigger mains. I have the mikuni mains all the way up to 210, but Right now I run Dyno needles and Mikuni jets, runs great but PIA.

I dont know what 180/185 dyno mains are in comparison to mikuni mains. But a word of advice... either ditch the dyno needles or the mikuni mains, you may think its running spot on but what u dont know is gonna hurt you.
