I spoke to a friend of mine today much older than Iam. He said that he had one a few years ago and that he used it on one bike and it worked great and on a second bike identical to it and it didn't do crap. So you let me know $ you would consider I don't want to insult you but they went for 39.95 + tax back in 1982 So would $20.00 be ok because if it doesn't work on my machine Iam up the creek and out 20 bucks. PS I have a 2002 blaster what type of after market reeds should I get? Iam thinkin carbon fiber? I do alot of mid and lots of top end rideing. Any suggestions?

A roost boost in 1988 was $62.95 looking at 88 Dirtwheels right now in the Caparral ad.

I think those help on older bikes with weaker spark due to failing coils. That would explain why it works on some but not others. The ones on which it makes no difference probably had good spark and the others did not.

I'd bet just replacing the coil on the stator would have made the same difference on those bikes that noticed an increase. My 86 LT had a coil go bad slowly, once it got to hard to start I replaced it and the quad ran like it never had before.

The company that made them likely realized it would seem to make quads faster if they had weak spark and that a lot of quads have weak spark, so they cashed in on it.

Be careful we ran those along time ago when they were the big thing and if put on the wrong bike it would fry the CDI
