Looking to buy brandy new quad.I have a Blaster now and it's a "blast" to ride..wheelie it with no problem,slide it into turns and very responsive...so..what ever buy from here on has to be like the Blaster or better..is the Kawasaki responsive as a 2 cycle.I like how high the KFX sits since I'm 6"3 it feels nice sitting on it. I'm looking for a little feedback from owners of either of these machines.

I have never ridden a kfx/z 400. But I have a couple of banshees and I have a ds, and had a raptor. The 4 strokes dont have the hit of the two stroke. None of them do. But that does not make them bad, just different.

I would say a banshee would be better, but it really depends on where you ride. If woods and such, then the z would probably be better suited for that, but I really love the hit of the 2 stroke, and it is just so fun to ride.

Either would be good, but I would say get the banshee.

if you are going to the sand get the banshee, if you ride a lot of track and woods 400, as big as you are i'd say ds

 

i have to make a similar decision 2 i want more power but its hard to decide with new technology vs the legendary shee not sure
i ride dunes and ice race mainly with some trails
toddg what to you mostly ride that should have a part in the decision

 

I mostly ride in fields and farm trails & mud. Fast paced riding.But will go easy at times with slower friends and kids riding on back. I don't want to have to keep it on the pipe all the time in order to enjoy it either like my YZ250 is. Can the Banshee be ok for slow riding at times also without getting loaded up?

Yeah, 4 stroke probably fits your needs better. I would look at the Ds, I have one and love it.

This is a no brainer...get the banshee unless you feel like an old lady...
