Default What assembly lube to use

I know I can't use Moly-based lubes because of the wet clutch slippage issue.

I can only find one at Pep-Boys that is clearly Moly based (so its out) and one at Napa called Lubriplate White Engine Assembly Lube that doesn't tell me.

What does everyone else use and where do you get it?

I was using Bel-Ray's assembly lube for all my ATV engines. I really liked it. Now I use Ford Motorsports assembly lube because I get it free, it works great, and I have a bunch of it.

Slappie,
We use EOS, its a GM lubricant. It works the best. We tested all the different lube on a bearing load testing machine, EOS is the only thing that you can't stop the bearing with. Super slippery, and goes right to the hot spots. In fact I use straight 30wt in the case with about 1-1/2 oz of EOS (to lube clutch). Its available throught GM dealerships, kind of spendy, but you get what you pay for.
Good Luck

I just picked up some assembly lube from NAPA (Sta-lube) that is black lithium based. On the package it says "Dissolves in lubricating oil during engine operation"....I'm gonna use it sparingly on the critical parts.

I don't know about the moly based, but I will check tonight if I can remember. I use them in all of my atv's without clutch problems. I even use the Motorsports lube on the little end bearings on a two-stroke.
