Default Bog?

I was ridding my raptor yesterday and noticed that when i was riding along mid throttle in 2,3,4, and 5 that when i pegged it there was about a 1/2 second bog before it took off. I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what this problem may be caused by. I still have stock exhaust with no jet kit. Any ideas? thanks

2-2001 Rappies. I have not had any such bog. I ride at about 3300', one quad has a K & N and the other no mods. Haven't had a problem with either.

Jetting? have you ajusted your jetting lately or ridden at a different elivation? could be one of the jets cause untill you are somthing like 3/4 throttle your on more than just the main jet. Just an idea

i have an 03 raptor that has the same problem,so what ive done is add a complete exhaust system, this made the bog worse,so now i know that it is the jetting, ill rejet this weekend and see how that works.

If you still have the stock air filter, make sure it's seated properly. If not, you could be sucking in more air (and dirt) which would make you run lean.
This happened to me right after I cleaned my air filter. Luckily I just took it for a quick trip up a paved road and not down the dirt road. Mine bogged just like you are describing. I immediately went to a different filter and adaptor plate.

if you are running the stock airbox the old filter is fine ( i mean k&n ) but if you are running no lid then you have to get a pro design,,
