How to use 2 K&N filters on Raptor
#1
I've seen a couple of people using 2 K&N filters instead of the proflow or stock replacement filter. How do you get them to mount to the carb boots on the air filter side?
I realize that a tube going between them will work, I was wondering what size and which K&N filters to use?
Has anyone noticed a performance difference just by going to this set up?

look here for picture
I went to Low's and got plastic 2.5" shop vac adaptor tubes and mounted them to the carb tubes and then mounted the K&N's to the adaptors with hose clamps. I used a piece of aluminum as a support mount and zip tied the adaptors to keep them from sagging. I also fabed a heat shield.
I then upgraded to aluminum tubes from a metal distributor.
you will need to jet up.
