Raptor Axel Removal ~Help~
#11
I got the nut off with a grinder wheel and just went ahead and pulled the whole axle out for now. If I cant get this one fixed I am going to look on ebay for one. I tried the file thing but this is just a little finer than that.

Well that sucks about your axle. I have a 01 axle laying around if interested. Hmm if you have a stock locknut with good threads you might try threading that one on all the way slowly and then threading it back off. It might work it might not just an idea.

Thanks, I tried that all ready, now I need both nuts and just ordered them from my local dealer. Is yours in great condition? What would you want for it? I live in Bakersfield, CA so if you can get me a total shipped that would be nice. I see a few on ebay for a reasonable price. I will see what my buddie says. He is a machinist and may be able to recut the threads but I dont know.
Thanks

I bought an axle wrench a few months ago. Used it for the first time Friday. It works great. It fits on a torque wrench, breaker bar or 1/2" socket. Here is the e-bay link the sellers e-mail is there. He makes them himself.
