I know that Yamaha rates the dry wieght at 398 I was just wondering what the weight of the raptor would be if it had oil gas in it. I cant find it on any website so was hoping you guys knew.

 

Figure that it holds 2.6 gals of gas at 7.8 # per gallon (I think) 20#'s of gas. I would say the oil weighs another 5 lbs.But they don't count coolant when they say dry either, so add that too. Dirt wheels just dis a shootout with all the new sport quads, the only thing they said that was true was the wet weights, I can't remember what they listed, but I am sure someone has a copy by their computer.

ATV Sport just did a shootout in which they gave all the wet weights. The Raptor came in at 451lbs.

 

I got the weight from the service manual which you can download. Just do a search on it.

 

In adding about the atv sport write-up.....I thought this was interesting:

Thanks for all the info but my friend just got a new 03 raptor and we took it into a garage in town and put it on there electronic scale and with the gas full oil full and coolent full it only weighed 428 pounds
I dont want to slam atv sport but I dont like there magizine it is somtimes misleading on some of the shoot outs
