I need some help my 99 Yamaha warrior won't shift. The clutch will release, but it will not shift out of gear, I think it is stuck in third. Any advice would be appreciated.

THe clutch releases fine and the wheels will roll when you put the clutch in. You can also ride it in the gear it's in, it just won't shift out of the gear it's in.

Well in that case it could just be a broken shifter linkage. It could still be the tranny though

I pulled the side cover off and the part of the shifter linkage I can see looks ok, but I guess it could be messed up inside the transmission.
