Default Need Big Bear Help

On my wifes Big Bear, there is an adjustment screw just behind the pull starter. It say's increase/decrease. Can anyone tell me what this adjusts ? Also, is there any way to make it a little easier to shift ? The salesman told me it would break in and get easier, but it has not. Sometimes its real tough to shift when going slow or sitting still. My wife complains that after a while the top of her foot hurts and she want to ride my Prairie 650. Hence, my problem. A new bike is outta the question for now.

jjs3788, The screw behind the pull start is to adjust the clutch free play. Turn it counterclockwise to decrease the clutch free play and turn it clockwise to decrease the free play. As far as hard to shift, mine has done it a few times but it has not been that big of an issue, yet. I would try and adjust it and see what happens.
