Default ? about Banshee

I have a chance to get a 2001 Shee this weekend. It hasnt really been ridden since it was bought, only a few times, and it hasnt been started in about 7 months. What are some things that I should look for? frame wise, engine wise, anything? Also I heard that 2-strokes that havent been started in a long time have a tendency to break down easily and you will run into problems with them. Is this true??
Thanks for any help
Josh

make sure the air filter is oiled yet.. since its a 2stoke check compression... and since it hasnt been started in awhile u might want to take it easy like do the break in period again.. then change crankcase oil

Don't worry about it sitting for a while. If it has few miles on it there really shouldn't be any issues. Check compression, suspension pivot points, rear axle bearings, etc plus see if has been generally well maintained. Any time you buy something used you change the fluids, clean the filter, etc...
