I asssume you mean downloadable editing SOFTWARE???

Check out sonic foundry for Vegas Video 3.0, Ulead for Media Studio Pro 6.5 and Adobe for Premier.

I think that Ulead and maybe Sonic Foundry offer demo versions you can download. There are a few other decent editors for the PC but check these out. There are shareware ones too but I never tried. I use Sonic Foundry Vegas Video for editing.

Maybe you can find what you need on Kazaa or from some other file sharing program?????

I like Pinnacle Studio 8 or Adobe Premier myself. Both can be found with EDonkey.

yeah, i had vegas video 3.0 for awhile, but the demo only let you do so much. then i got the serial number, but it wouldnt let me register it, so i only had it long enough to make the first Sweer preview. now i downlaoded 4.0, but the same serial code dont work. vegas video is an awesome editor, but i need one i can save the videos without buying it. so hopefully one of those you gave me works. thanks everyone

Apple's Final Cut is the ONLY way to go. If you are not that serious try the idvd, or imovie software. If you are seriously working on movies/dvds you need an Mac.
But if not go to Kazaa and download Adobe Premier (latest version)

We use Final Cut at work on the Macs but for PC I like the Vegas Video the best so far. I'm not a Mac person so I stick to the PC stuff.

iamchad, you can get anything you need of the net you know - I'm certainly not advocating piracy but to each his own in that regard.

Oh, BTW, if you aren't using firewire and a mini-DV camcorder it's time to step up. This is the only way to go. Forget those analog capture cards or USB capture devices - FIREWIRE.
