I was looking at these numbers; how can the Hot Cams stage 2 cam be so much better than the Web Cam? The cam is going into a 686 with 11.1 piston ratio, HMF Exhaust, K&N clamp on filters to the back of the carb., Plasma Ignition Booster and +6 homemade swingarm ext.. This bike is used mainly for racing the 300ft. dirt drag and sum riding at LA Dunes. Future mods are over sized valves with a major porting job, carb. bore, and flyheel cut.


Web Cam = (valve lift) .365 ; (Duration @ .50 degrees)( Intake, Exhaust) 248 & 245

Hot Cam Stage 2 = 9.8mm & 10.3mm ; 246 & 259

Stock = .320 & .345 ; 224 & 227

 

It is. All those that pulled there 636/637 out have liked the big improvement.

 

Is this cam the top choice of 727 machines also? Does anyone know if 1mm or 2mm oversized valves are the way to go?
