im going to be getting a 96 banshee from some guy that my dad works with, and its all stock(t-5 pipes). so i was wondering if someone could explain the differences in different types of mods. asin, porting, bigger carbs, more compresion, big bore, stroker, different pistons. i would be riding it in the dunes and the woods, so is there a comprimise solution?

does a big bore accelerate faster than a stroker of the same cc's?

Well there are a ton of mods that you can add but I'd say get a cool head 19 or 20 cc domes now with some Torque reeds (FMF) and a boost bottle. This will add a butt load more power. The stroker or big bore will cost a bunch, if you have the money then I'd add porting and polishing.

Good Luck & hang on!!!

Carb jetting and air filter maintenance is the best and cheapest modification anyone can make. All other mods won't do anything if this isn't taken care of. It's the little things that make the biggest difference.
