I just got a Dyna igniton in for my raptor. Need some help from those of you who have tried them.
What setting is the best for sand drags with a 686 12:1 motor stage II cam.
By looking at the chart I would pick curve 2. I could have got the same results as curve 3 from a ignition key.
On the dyno I have seen better hp increases from less timing at high rpm's but better throttle response from more timing in the mid's.
Your thaughts PLEASE!

Installed the cdi box last night on my raptor and now having clutch slippage on the top of 4th and 5th the motor revs freely when it reaches the upper rpm's. If this means anything it slips more on the 3rd setting or what they call they second curve above stock. If it's slipping more the motor must be making more power?? Without seeing dyno #"s its hard to know if it makes more hp but I will say this much the motor REV"s much quicker.

14mins sold me his old box. I was running a little rich and the dyna box leaned it out perfect.
If I only have pump gas I stay with the stock setting and if I have 100 octane I use the higher settings. My bike likes 100 octane and #2 setting best for drag racing. #3 is too far advanced on the very top end. I run #3 for general dune riding and #2 for drag racing.
