Whats the best pipe for a Wolverine?
#3
If you're running 25"bearclaws on a stock bike thats a lot of your problem. The tires rob a lot of power out of the bike and its gonna take more than a pipe to get it all back. I also have the FMF on mine and it defenitely helps on the bottom end but I dont think it helps the top end much. Also you have to run it with the 11 discs installed or you dont even really notice a difference over the stock pipe except for the loud sound!!!If you go to the product reviews section of ATV CONN. and look at the test with the FMF on a Wolverine the dyno sheets tell the real story. They also show that the pipe has the same top end as stock but it does raise the torque level a bit. I,ve got a lot of mods an mine now and it works quite good. I just got the ported head and high comp. piston in it last week. I took it out last friday for the test against my friends new 500 Scrambler and he wasnt very impressed when he opened his up on about a three mile stretch of dirt road and there I was right on his tale the whole time!!!I couldnt pass him but he couldnt pull away from me either. Pretty good for an outdated 350cc air cooled engine against a 500 cc liquid eh??
