Default Raptor Mods..?

Is it possible to get 50 hp out of a raptor that has stage 3 alba headers and pipe (alba open end) , pro flo/k&N, and stage 3 jets?
and is this enough to hang with a trinity 686? There seems to be a large controversy on top of the mountain here...

thanks

That depends on who's dyno you use, but 50 would be the max and would have to be very well tuned. It's not enough to beat a halfway good running 686 unless it's poorly tuned.

airraptor (or anyone else) ... does just a 11:1 JE piston and stage 1 (or 2) cam really improve your HP alot without porting the head? thinking about this set-up then port it later on down the road. with my mods and the piston and cam how much HP should i be around?

I went with a 12:1 and stage II. The increase of power was amazing, not to mention it isn't P&P. Haven't had it dynoed since new mods, but I will.

alright thanks alienraptor. 1 question ... just wondering what made you go with 12:1 and stage 2 cam instead of 11:1 and stage 1 ? just the power difference? isnt the 11:1 more reliable than the 12:1?

Yeah, I wondered the same ? before I decided. But from what I understood some of the Craycraft engines go with a 13:1 and I have never heard anyone say they weren't reliable. I just know how I am, if I would have gone with the 11:1 I probibly would have wished I went with 12:1. As far as reliability, I quess if it is installed correct then it should be reliable. That's JMO.

Wildchild, Get ahold of (Mark)14mins from Craycraft and he will hook you up. Him and Bob Craycraft have the best customer service I have found, no BS, they will walk you through everything, and they make sure you understand the install process if your going to do it, or to relay to the shop. You can E-mail him at 14mins.com
I was fortunate and only paid $300 for the install. Good luck
