Grizzly dif lock?
#1
This weekend I took my 2002 Grizzly to the dunes and thought I would be abel to climb any dune out there with the front locked up. But when I locked it up and tried to get a run at the hill the griz. cut out. Is there some kind of governor when the front dif lock is engauged?

yes there is a top speed of 20mph in lock and i have not heard of them cutting out but there is a rev limiter that makes the engine stutter by limiting rpm and keeping you at 18 to 20 mph for safety reasons, same as your reverse.the reverse limiter is easy to override , because i have done that with mine. I am looking for a way to override the differential lock limiter as we speak but so far i have been unable to find out how to do it though i have read that several other riders have done it to there grizzlys already. overriding the reverse limiter really helps in the mud and snow for getting out of a tough spot backwards. I am sure that there might be a bit of stress on the differential in lock if you go to fast but sometimes it would be a help to beable to lock the front end and go up to 40 mph to get through the stuff stuff. I hope this has helped you and if anybody knows of a way to disable or overide the differential lock i would appreciate the help too.

Hey there;
I noticed you were able to override the rev limiter on the Griz, I have an 03 Kodiak with a rev limiter and was wondering if overriding would be the same or similar, i would appreciate any advise youmay be able to give
thanks K3
