Default Need help adjusting Raptor air screws!!!!

I re-jetted my Raptor recently and noticed the air screws are located on the bottom of the carb body.

Well, I have a slight hesitation when I am cruising in any gear and pin the throttle wide-open.

I have been told I need to adjust the air screws to fix this. The remedy I am told is to have the gear shifter side carb air screw 2.5 turns out and the foot brake lever side carb 3 turns out.

Does this sound right?

On a Raptor, are you increasing the fuel flow by turning the screws in or out?

Also, and most importantly, how can I adjust the air screws without having to remove the plastic, gas tank and carbs? Is there some easier way to get to them even though they are on the bottom of the carb body?

Help!

I think motion pro makes a carb adjusting tool.
That setting sounds right.
Turning the screws out or to the left richens the mixture.

Go to your local dealer. Get the motion pro tool part # 08-0119 $29.40

You can see the tool Here.. Scroll down the page a ways.

My dealer had the tool in stock. You'll never have to remove the plastics again to adjust the pilot screws.

Kewl!

Do you agree I need to keep the two Idle screws 1/2 turn different as described above?

Most people run 1/2 turn difference between the L and R screws. I think it has to do with the fact that the R screw feeds two intake valves and the L one only feeds 1.

I agree that they need to be different. I run 3 turns left and 3 1/4 turns right. Thats with stock pilot jets.

Lol Someone is a bit rich. You had like 6 quads or more. I think if you dont get the tool, you will end up taking it all apart again unless you rig something up.
