Default Snorkle and lid for aluminum airbox?

I have a Pingry aluminum airbox and I would like to know if anyone have ever seen or built a lid/snorkle system for one? I would like to get one or build one to use when I am riding in really wet and muddy conditions. I have 2 Outerwears water resistant covers (1 over airbox, 1 on filter) and I still have problems with my filter getting wet and my engine bogging down.

Anyone have any ideas. I have been thinking about designing one and having a machine shop build it for me. Thanks,

Is there any kind of drain hole on the box? If not that might help. The same kinda thing happened to us riding the dunes with no lid. It got windy and the sand was blowing and all the sand would start collecting in the box with no place to go but in the filter. We removed the drain plugs on the bottom of the boxes so the sand would'nt collect in there. This is why I'm eliminating the box alltogether.

Yes, there is a drain hole. I don't have any problems with the water draining out. Any more ideas out there?
