Raptors
Can anyone answer this.. My buddy just bought a 03 Raptor and is asking me all types of questions about it. He wants to know why Raptors only have a 43" width instead of the standard 48". I seen him ride it twice and to tell you the truth i think he is scared of it and is looking for any excuse to trade it in.

he has three options:
1. live with it
2. get wider suspension
3. puss out and sell
Some people just cant handle the power, and thats ok. Its better to ride something you are comfortable on. I know, my dad sold his first raptor, but he had a little accident first. He took a stump with the right a arm at 40 in the trails on a snow covered day. He ended up hitting a tree, busting 6 rips, broken collarbone in 5 places, coma for 8 days, but the coma was the hospitals fault. Total damage to quad....39 bucks, new handlebars and tie rod sleeve. Of course, this could have happened on any quad, so its just a matter of being comfortable.
PS, the answer to the width question is because yamaha engineers didnt pay attention in college.
