Default Quietest Pipe

In response to all of the " I have no dB restrictions so what can I use to **** off the local law enforcement" posts, Id like to find the quietest pipe for the raptor. I have a 100dB and spark arrestor restriction at most places I ride. What pipe will satisfy these requirements and yet give me the best power. Thanks guys.

I think any pipe maker that offers a quiet pipe would do the trick. ( big gun, fmf, yoshi, pro circuit,WB) there is a big list of quiet pipes. I ride in the Oregon Dunes and the sound limit is 93 dbls. I talked with yoshimura and with there TEC kits they said it would be 100 dbls with the large outlet 96 dbls with the medium outlet and 93-94 dbls with the small outlet. I might go that route. I hope this helps

maddog56- i use the fmf q-muffler and power bomb header and my decibel level on my 686 raptor came in at( 92 db)as checked by the forest service . that is about as quiet as you are going to find and yes it does produce good power gains especially in the mid range.you have to use the power bomb header with the q-muffler to get the low decibel levels .

I ran the Pro Circuit T-4 with a quiet insert, it was a joke. It sounded like a loud popcorn popper. The quiet insert was clearly an after thought and is simply a metal circle plate with a hole in the middle. I just installed an FMF Powercore IV Q and it sounds awsome. Just a hair louder than stock with the stock header pipe (93db I think I saw at FMF website) and better sounding. I haven't run it yet on the trails, but with the 150/155 jetting, I'm expecting modest power gains. It looks cool, too.
