Default Warrior Problems?

I'm either getting a 300ex or a Warrior within the next few months. To all the Warrior riders out there, have you ever had any major problems? I've heard places that they occasionally have transmission problems and that the end of the swingarm is positioned too low. Are these true? Thanks in advance.

i loved my warrior. Never had any major problems with it really. never heard of the transmission problem either. The 300ex is nice to but warrior is bigger and more powerful and more comfortable. Plus, whoever invented the reverse gear on the 300 must of been smoking crack. I like yamaha, but neither quads are bad.

Get the warrior, i dont think youlll be disappointed. they are also wider.

300ex is kind of a young person or begginer bike. Warrior Is is a 300ex all growed up. As for problems, you only hear about them so much because there are soo many old still warriors running around. They are nearly bullet proof even when they get old as dirt. Its hard to keep an old one performing good, but anyone can keep one running.

never heard of tranny probs only prob is the air box just put a pro design filter kit on it and your set to go out and kill 300exs.. the warrior WILL last FOREVER as long as you care for it

I have the ordiginal warrior and it is still running strong. My 87's tranny is stock and shifts like new. My only complaint about my warrior is the low rear skidplate, but that is compensated for with the oversized rear tires. they are bulletproof, and that is a fact.

Both the warrior and the 300EX have 4.9'' ground clearance, and the the same size rear tires so they're equal in that department.

It's funny how they have equal ground clearance but nobody ever complains about replacing the skidplate on a 300ex. What exactly is the problem with the airbox?

The only probem I had with my Warrior was that the clutch needed replacing. The Warrior always cold started better than my Recon. I kinda miss my Warrior. I have a photo with me on the Warrior. My wife said that I didn't look that happy on the Warrior in the photo. She forgot that the photo was taken the day I sold it. It was my last ride on it.

Why did you trade it in on a Recon?
