Has any one installed any performance up grades to their 450 kodiak yet? What did you do and how well does it work?//

 

Im wondering the same thing ?? Also wondering about tweeking the throttle screw to get more full throttle if infact its not opening up all the way kinda sounds like they keep it screwed out from the factory?? but dont want to screw anything up id think about all a guy can do is make it breath a little better?

 

The only thing I can see anyone doing to a kodiak would be maybe a filter, jetting and possibly a big bore kit..

Dont they use some warrior parts? If not you could have a cam made for you then add exhaust/filter and youd be rolliin along pretty good.

 

denniskirk sells a jet kit airbox breather plugs and slipon exhust, unifilter upgrade and ext..

 

There are plenty of mods out there depending on what you are looking to do or what you want to spend. And not sure what warrior parts will work to my knowledge and research none of them will. Twin air makes a replacement filter. Dyno jet makes a jet kit for it and hmf makes a slip on exahaust for it. Now as far as a big bore kit no one makes one for it right now and most likely they want start making them. I have talked to most of the larger shops and they say the demand isnt that good to spend the money to make one. I ended up doing a stroker kit on mine if you are interested in where to get the stuff email me at reenoip69@aol.com. I looked at the date of the first post and was pissed at myself for not riding mine like i used to ..
there it sits now with K&N , vented air box... winch .... vented side panels bla bla bla and i havent ridden in forever .. im disgused at myself

well so is anyone on here gonna do a few modifications to theirs. I am gonna install my new tierods and tierod ends today and see just how strong they are tonight. Hell if i get time i want to snorkel mine today

 

I HAVE INSTALLED THE DYNO JET KIT AND TWIN AIR FILTER. IT PULLS MUCH HARDER NOW AT LOW SPEED. I GUESS A PIPE OR CLUTCH KIT WOULD BE NEXT.

 

kn makes an air filter, HMF, FMF, Supertrapp, BUB all make pipes for the 450, there are jet kits, and many clutch kits available
