I herd that you can improve the speed of your quad by replacing the stock rear sprocket with a smaller tooth sprocket, how many teeth should you go down on a Banshee? and how many links on the chain need to be taken off?

It's a lot easier to just put a 1 tooth bigger sprocket on the front. Depending on your mods determines how much speed you will gain.... There's no firm answer.

I use a 41 tooth rear, and get a little more top end.

I thought 14-41 was stock gearing. If you run in the sand I would drop a tooth on the front and see how you like it. If it feels good add a couple to the rear. After all how fast do you need to go?

cheapest way is just go up on the front sprocket.....

You will gain a little more on the top end and lose a little on the low end.
