I want to buy an '03 Raptor and would like to know any past or present problems or recalls. I live in Nor Cal and would appreciate any tips on a good dealer and would also like to know the best "out-the-door" prices you have heard of. Thanx.

 

i payed 6899 otd, but thats in PA for a red LE

 

I paid $5800 OTD for an '03 LE at Honda-Yamaha of River Oak in Lansing, Illinois. I am of course an Indiana resident and didn't have to pay taxes on it. Still, even if you were to pay taxes you would be paying a little over 6k. I called around for about a week to dozens of different dealers before coming across that price. Hope that helps you a bit.

the red le is just an le with red flames instead of blue. I have an 03 black and red that i got for 6100 otd in Michigan, taxes included.

Your not going to get as good of deal in CA. than you would in other states. I paid $7200 OTD for mine. The only issue that they have'nt worked out that I can think of right now is the starter oneway.

sneak over the state line and get one in Oregon, the ones you calis get are cali smogged, no kidding! thats the 'c' in for example YFM660RN(C)
plus you can prob sneak past that sales tax.
