Make sure the flywheel is turned towards the key offset too realize the gains of advancing the ignition. Excellent mod on a Banshee. Personally, I like the drag key on en engine that is'nt wide open all the time....but would recommend the lesser advance key...

you can look on bansheezone.com they have a few illistraited pics to show you how to put this in and all. as for the fly wheel puller you can get one at local shops or at the steeler for like 10 bucks. if your in to drag racing you could get the +7 key or if your just wanting the advance for trails you can look to get the +4 key. or you could go all out and keep your stock key and get a timing plate so if you want to change it more or less you can adjust it accordingly.

Buy an adjustable timing plate on ebay, they sell all the time. Give yourself about five degrees advance and watch the front wheels hardly touch the ground.

just bought a '00 shee. Man i am sorry that i waited soo long to get one. Man are they fun. I want to put some mods on it. Is a degree key the way to go? What about pipes, any suggestions on who makes the best pipes for the Banshee? Lastly, are there any cons w/ installing degree key?

Thank's

The key is a good cheap mod but pipes are the very best bang for the buck - it's like a whole new Banshee. FMF SST, Toomey T5, Pro Circuit and LRD are all good top end pipes. Also, do something about the air filter set-up. Either get a pro-flow adapter plate and new filter or put a bolt through the existing filter to make sure it doesn't come loose and let dirt in.

vito isvitos performance i bought a degree key for my blaster and after 2 weeks i snapped it. but my friend had one for about a year and its running strong. it does add a noticible ammount of power. the flywheel puller screws into the flywheel and the backend pushes on the crankshaft to pop it off. after that make sure you slide the old key out by tapping it on the front with a flathead screwdriver. watch how it slides out so you can put the new one in the same way. hope that helped. go to a yamaha dealer to get a flywheel puller
