raptor gearing
#1
Just wanted someones opinion. My raptor is running a full big gun race series pipe, K@N filter and jet kit. I just put a set of Fast Trekker 20x10x9 tires on the back. A set of 5 inch rear wheel spacers, and 3 inch fronts. I am trying to set up for a race in the sand in Va beach, (atv extreme weekend)... I just put a sidewinder 42 tooth on the rear, and I have noticed I am shifting every 2 seconds, and wearing out my next door neighbors banshee out of the hole, but about the time i hit fourth he comes by me like i am sitting still... I just ordered a 15 tooth for the front to see if that will help with the speed, and Idea's on what i need to run in this mx in the sand... no paddles allowed. also, hope someone can tell me how to quickly set up the stock shocks for it.. I noticed at currituck mx track this past weekend, some big jumps i was bottoming out bad, and need to adjust the shocks.. loosen or tighten. I only weight 140, and need some advice here. ,,, Brian

I would prolly run stock rears instead of the trekkers which are a low flat profile. Rounder is better IMO
What year is your raptor? 2001 gears are alot different down low. Also banshees have killer top end so Im not surprised he passed you up after 4th.
