It should only void the warranty of th parts you changed, NOT the whole bike. At least thats what my vendor told me.

I cashed out my extended policy after Yamaha offered no help for anything that broke. It is prorated. Just call the dealer where you bought your Raptor and tell them you want to cash out your extended policy.

I asked my dealer about modifications and warranties also. He said as long as the engine isn't modified internally, then the warranty will stick. Carb. mods(jetting) are considered external and doesn't affect the coverage. Any other mods. to suspension, steering, etc. will void the warranty only on the modified parts.

Thanks. I'll call the dealership in a few hours.
After reading all of the posts about the 686's I'm interested...Who out there has one,and can give me some in's and out's about the kit and were it was done?
I guess that the two big one's are Craycraft and Trinity???

No dude, don't get me wrong...It HAS been worth it until now.It has covered fogged up headlights,a new factory air cleaner, adjusting valves,a new 520 chain....All scheduled services. I am at the point now were I can't make my bike any faster without getting into the reciprocating assembly. I would buy one again if I bought a bike for my girlfriend....Out of the box it would be fast enough for her!

Just remember that Yamaha or the dealer offers an extended warranty and/or a maintainence plan. Mods should void the warranty but not the maintainence plan.

Gary is correct. The only way I could say different is if you have a good spending record at the dealer where the quad was purchased. Past customer, etc, etc. You might get more consideration but if it truly abuse it will not be covered.
