Default shee locked up!!!

I was crusin down the road yesterday in 4th gear about to shift out and the WAM!! the tires locked up. So i pulled the clutch in and rolled to a stop hoping that i was outa gas.. welll NOT i had 1/2 tank and the damd kickstarter wouldnt budge. So i got her home and pulled the head, plugs, jugs, exhaust and carbs. The ends of the plugs burned off, the right piston looks like someone took a grinder to at and ground it down smooth. When i pulled the head it freed up the kickstarter. The rods are good and the pistons move up and down at seperate times so I'm hoping the crank is good. I ran castor 927 at 36:1. The guy i bought it from had his "worker" jet and everything for him so he dont know what size jets are in it. My radiator was full of coolant and I had coolant in my head. WHAT THE HELL CAUSED THIS???

My engine mods are:
Fatty's w/ pc2's
cool head w/ unknown domes

jetting, timing, overly abused? I would check everything to see what is wrong, there are many things that may have caused it, how long have u had it?

Sounds like you had old gas/low octane gas or an air leak which caused the right piston to melt. Your going to need a top end rebuild and if your lucky thats it. You should have your crank and cylinders checked just in case.

The left piston kinda "dented in" The cylinders look like they need to be honed at the least.

My gut instinct is telling me its the jetting. I had been riding for about an hour b4 this happend. I always let it warm up good. But I never relly revved all the way out and had a slight bog when you nailed the gas, which is why i think it was running rich.

If it was running rich why would this happen? Maybe rich on air and lean on gas. But whatever happened it sounds like a jetting or airleak problem. Would it ever rev for no reason or just lose power? Have you ever over heated it? What kind of plugs were being ran in it? Maybe preignition. Is your water impellor working? Mine was over heated due to a broken water impellor.

Theres many possibilities, and only one solution...

I have a chode. You should pull the water impellor. It could just be not working to its full potentil. Id reccommend a billet one over the stock plastic. The plasic one can take in water, swell, and then break.

It's not rich, that's for sure. It is either very lean, too high of compression or too much timing advance.

Can you tell us what jets are in it? Also, look on the coolhead domes there will be a number telling the dome size. I think the number is around the base on the outside of the dome. Tell us that number.

Wyoduner, THE NUMBER IS 18!!!! does that mean he had 18cc domes in the head???

I was runnin 93 octane when it went.
I have no clue what jetting is in it, like I said he had his "WORKER" do all the work to it.
