Makuni VS Dynojet??
#2
Is there anymore power to be had by switching to DJ needles and jets?
I bought the whole kit only to take it all out when I got my K&N and pipe...They did not have big enough jets, and you can't mix them with makuni. Then I found out that you can order single jets in any size....Is it worth it to take the makuni back out and replace it with th DJ?

I had the 148/150 DJ setup on it until I installed the Pro Flow and the K&N.After that it ran like a$$.I than installed Makuni 175/180 and #25 pilots and it run's awesome.I was wondering if DJ jet's of the same value would produce even more power,or would I have to go down a jet size to utilize the benifits of their taper?

The 148/150 setup should be enough, my bike was running very strong and a tiny bit rich with that setup. The reason the DJ jets are smaller is cause of the way smaller needle which supplies more fuel throughout the whole RPM range.

Hmmm can they be better? Or is it just a matter of size and flow rate of fuel?

Well they(DynoJet) claim to be better...I was just looking for some real time info from someone who might have pondered the same question.

shutupholdon, I wouldn't buy the kit.The kit comes with 10 thousand jets you don't need..you can buy single jets on line if you go with the DJ. If you stay with Makuni...You can get them at any dealership foe 2 bucks each.
Don't do the same thing I did and have 75.00 worth of unuseable jets sitting in your toolbox!
