Make a significant difference on my Raptor?
I left my 400EX stock so I am literally not sure how much of a difference a pipe makes.
For the past 6 or 7 years,I have been toying with Mustangs, and a simple muffler swap on those is useless unless you want a louder car.
A K&N makes no difference either in most cases.
So is the cash outlay for a pipe, air filter kit and jet kit really going to be met with a corresponding power increase?
I'll consider it worth the price if I can pin the throttle and really actually notice the difference.
Thanks for the advice.

I've noticed a considerable amount of gain and I still havn't got mine dialed in 100 percent. I will after this weekend though !!

At first I was skeptical also because I couldn't feel that much of a difference. But when I went to the dunes and raced up the hills, you could definitely tell the difference by being able to pull on stock Raptors. Depending on who has their piped Raptor tuned the best and gearing, different people pull on others as well.

A few HP on a quad makes a lot more difference than a few HP on a car.
You will feel the difference, but you'll get used to it again. If you're happy with the way it is, leave it alone.

Your right...I still remember the first time I rode my Raptor...What a fast machine! Then came a pipe....WOW..... Than a few rides latter....hummmm....Is my bike getting slower?Than came the Pro Design and K&N...WOW...Than a few rides latter....hummmm....Is my bike getting slower.....And the story continues!!
You get used to it and start lookikg for MORE!!!

I agree to some of that... When i got my first slip-on pipe i thought it made a small difference, then i got my big gun and was like... alright, this is much better... Then I get use to it and go buy the pro-design kit and am happy again for a while....
Now with where I am now and I have gotten use to the power again, I still want more.... But I know my bike is still FAST.
All I gotta do is look behind me for a little reminder.....

Well with all those mods you'll be makin over 10 HP over stock, just a pipe alone makes the Raptor gain that much. The Raptor really gets unlocked when you put exhaust and more intake. You'll be impressed and happy.

I too was skeptical (ok..cheap) about adding a pipe and air cleaner. However, I came up off that wallet a little bit and added a White Bros. E-Series slip on along with the K&N air filter. WOW! I was extremely impressed with the surge. I am now jetted and clipped where I should be, and I can't keep the back end behind me. Worth the money...no doubt.
