quick one way help

Ok I just put in my rebuilt one way, BUT I have a question. On the actual bearring itself it has an arrow. This arrow faces the motor, right? The arrom on the flywheel and this arrow face the opposite direction the way I have it now. For some reason this seem backwards to me, but I think its right. Can anybody confirm that this is correct?TIA!!!

Thanks. Thats what I thought but the arrow on it points a different way than the one on the flywheel. It just had me thinking I was doing something wrong. Thanks for the quick help!

Ward to test if you have it right. Spin the gear the bearing rides on. It should turn freely in the clockwise direction. It should not turn freely in the counterclockwise direction. The spinning direction is as if it were installed.

Hey guys,
I E-mailed the L & A Designs people about the new and approved aftermarket one way bearing. They said that it was looking like it would be ready for sale mid-June. They said that one of their vendors had to build some new tooling to get the bearing ready. Thought you might be interested.

Its giving me butterflies too of a different kind, wondering if it will ever make more than one trip a tear down.
Thanks skin! Thats what I was looking for. I am off to check it.
Well I checked it guess what, its WRONG. Oh well thats why I posted before I closed it all up. My spring was GONE so when I opened the bearring up to replace the sprags they all fell out. I must have put them in backwards. So now I have to pull the flywheel again and switch them around. Like I said before THANKS A MILLION!!!

Glad you cought it before you closed it all up. The instructions I gave were from the manual. The one way bearing itself goes into a housing of sorts. There is a recessed groove where the lip from one side of the bearing recesses into when installed in its housing. Then the housing itself is bolted to the back of the rotor. If memory serves me, the arrow on the bearing is on the same side as the recess. This would put it facing toward the Rotor, yes? Inward from the way it bolts to the rotor but, facing the rotor, not facing away?? Now I'm confused.
