I bent my steering stem BAD and need to straighten it so that I can go on a trip to Penn. in two weeks. I ordered a lonestar off E-bay but it won't be available till I come back.

Has anyone straightend one before? How did you go about it?

Do a search. Yoshraptor brought his to a welder and had a new cromoly tube welded in. You could raise the hadle bars a little at the same time if you want.

 

i took mine to a muffler shop, if they are careful that machine straightens it well, just make sure that they are carful with the clamp spots

 

a machine shop should be able to straighten that also....I had a friend straighten the stem in my snowmobile after an accident never had another problem

 

My buddy straightened his DS Stem in a press. Back like new.

 

why does it take 2 weeks to get a steering stem?
