Default Quick Raptor Questions

Okay just a few questions. How come I have to put my Raptor on reserve even though I can open up the gas tank and see plenty of gas in there? How long do you usually leave the choke on to let your Raptor warm up? Does the Raptor run a little hot while its still being broke in? Thanks in advance for your help.

First off...the reserve is primarily used for a "dude, its time to head back" situation. I have only used reserve once, and it took me back to camp(approx. 8 miles). So leave the lever in the "on" position when riding. If you go overboard and run out of gas, the reserve is there to help get you back. As far as choke goes, if my Rappy is cold, I'll start it with the choke on. The choke feeds the carbs a little more gas to keep the engine running. The Rappy will rev a bit higher when starting with choke on. When idle drops(about 10-20 seconds), turn the choke back off. And finally, my Rappy ran a little hot during break-in. The "cool down" fan came on during my first heavy break-in ride. Never had it come back on after my first service. Hope this helps....

Thanks guys for your help. I knew that about the reserve but yesterday Iwas riding the the Rappy just died on me so I looked in the gas tank and saw plenty of gas but i thought what the heck so I put it on reserve and it started up and ran fine. Just seems a little odd that I can still see the gas and I have to put it on reserve maybe its just because I am use to the warrior when you put it on reserve you couldn't see any gas in the tank.

I noticed the same thing, must be the gas tank layout.

You have to have gas somewhere for the reserve. Just fill up every ride.
