I mastered the launch today on my friends 440ex, but I cant quite keep it straight in 2nd and third. It has a bad tendancy to veer, im not sure if its wheel spin or micro wheelies. Im pretty sure it will eat up a stock raptor and stick with or maybe beat a piped one now, if you dont swerve over and run into him. It was sticking right with a raptor when it was spinnin those little 18s like crazy though.

 

To reduce the amount of "veer", you should set the rear end up narrower. Either flip your rear wheels around or shorten you axle (if possible). This will put less sideways torque on your quad and will result in a more straight launch and less veering. If you have ever seen a true drag Banshee, they all run narrow axles for this reason. Also get some taller tires if you want to win more drag races. The taller profile will allow some flex adn better bite (traction) on take-off. If you have ever seen a slow-motion shot of a funny car or Top Fuel car taking off you will see the rear tires flexing as they gain huge traction.

check your psi in the rear tire would be the first think I do. a few lbs of psi would make a big difference cause one side to hook up more.
