torque stands for the amount of torque used to tighten it. You know how as you tighten something as it gets tigher you gotta use more and more force to keep it turning. Well, the torque tells you at one point its time to stop putting force and stop. go to an auto store or something and buy a torque wrench. There not that expensive and its worth it. especially if you have an expensive bike.

You mean that when the threads start to pull out, or the bolt breaks thats too tight? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I learned a long time ago that when your working with aluminum that you follow the torque settings. Get a good torque wrench and use it, if not you'll eventually tighten something a little too much and snap. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]
