Raptor exhaust stud?

Raptor exhaust stud?
My exhaust stud broke on my Raptor a month after installing my full Yoshi pipe. I took the head off and drilled it out but could not get it all. I then took it to a machine shop and they put a heli-coil in it, but drilled through the water jacket. The machinist said no big deal he put lock tight on the stud and it won't leak. He said small block Chevy's use bolts and studs in water jackets and never had a problem. I just want to make sure this is a good fix? I should have torqued the nuts the 8 ft lbs in the first place and Yamaha's cheap little stud may have never broke.

My buddy also hit a water jacket drilling out a stud that had broken soon after he put his yoshi exhaust on. We had to remove the head and reweld it, then retap. Put the thing together and the very next ride it broke a stud on the other side.
We pulled them all out and redrilled and tapped for 8mm grizzly studs (from previous grizzzly style - 2000 model year?)

Do you think this is a good fix for now warrior007? I have a trip I want to make this weekend to the Hatfield McCoy trails with some friends. He also used some epoxy behind the stud, I just don't want it to leak. I think if I tighten them alittle at a time and make sure thier isn't a bind on the stud it should last awhile?

Thanks for your reply. He said he barely tapped it with the drill and went through. If I really look the stud looks just barely angled, but I guess its hard to get the stud perfectly straight. If this doesnt work I will be very upset. I like things perfect and am rarely ever satisfied, it's a curse!
