I was thinking of takeing an trip to the silverlake dunes.I've been to kermit and loved it(twice).but think silverlake would be a closer drive.anyone have any good pics of the dunes.and any rules you should know.

 

To be honest, its not real spectacular. Its only about 750 acres and the big dunes are 1 way only. I was pretty disappointed to tell the truth. I have been to glamis though, and of course going to the best place in the world to dune doesnt make Silver Lake look to special. But it is fun, MAKE SURE TO RIDE THE DUNES SLOW THE FIRST TIME! They some times have VERY STEEP drop offs. I would say I would meet you, but I just totalled my towing car. So maybe some time later this summer we can meet and RIDE!
