Hell if it was me I would use MRX01, I am going to ask my fuel supplier if he can get some for me.

LOL, that was my choice as well. The guy I was racing at Dumont on the Banshee yesterday suggested the MR1 as I'm only at 11;1 and don't realy need higher octane. He sounded knowledgeable so I thought I'd look into it.

Best of luck, let us know how it works out. I talked to a friend of mine and he told me if you are running no more than 150psi of cranking compression then use 98 octane (Super Unleaded), it will build more horespower. Thats on a Banshee two-stroke though. But on a Raptor the MRX01 sounds it the way to go since you are running 11:1 piston.

I am going through this search as well. I have been reading everything I can to learn about all the different fuels. I am going tommorrow to pick some up. First I am going to try the CMP. It has a little higher Oxygen conntent so should be good for a little more power, IMHO. The MRX01 is going to be my second try. It does have a lower specific gravity so it will flow more fuel threw the same size jet but with less O, but it also has a lower octane rating. If I can run the MRX01 without detonation it MIGHT end up making more power even without as much O.

Just a FYI if you didn't know, you will need probably need to rejet with oxygenated fuels. Also when switching fuels but not to an Oxygenated one check out the specific gravity in comparrison to what you are running now. Like said up there the lower the S.G. the more fuel it will flow through the same size hole. So a lower S.G. you might need to lean it out a little.

If you want some fuel related links let me know, I have a couple good ones.

Pop Quiz:
If I run pump gas at lower elevations, can I use the oxygenated fuels at higher altitudes and not have to rejet?

Alot of these have to do with some really extreme fuel but there is still some good info in them. Text

Ok thats it soryy if one got copied.

01raptoraz, I will guess and say if you could get the right amount of Oxygen in the fuel according to the elv. you could do it. Just a guess though.

Thanks Ward,

I emailed VP for the nearest dealer and price, they didn't give me a price but they did tell me of my closest dealers. I called the people they said was a large supplier and this is the price they quoted me.

MR1, 5 gallon pail= $80.60 out the door
MRX01, 5 gallon pail= $82.70 out the door

This is some expensive sheeot. The gain better be like having an orgasm. Maybe I can split the cost with my bro to test it out.

Give ultimate four a try...It has an octane of 92, so I bring up octane with 50/50 mix of VP red....got it running right finally, it was worth the trouble, and yes at elevation you can help with an oxygenated fuel, but the raptor is sensitive to elevation(mine is anyhow)
