Description:
I got into this sport about 6 years ago. I started out a die-hard Polaris hater. Never had spent any time on one, just hated them because I owned a Honda. I bought my Xpress with the intention of selling it. I rode the machine home after buying it and realized what I was missing. It was a bone stock 300 Xpress for the first two years I owned it. I began to get bored with it so I started looking into more performance. Believe it or not, not to many performance mods are made specifically for it.Well four years later, this is what I've got done to the Xpress;Appearence - 02' T-Boss plastic(trimmed and lifted), custom painted frame, SC front bumper/guard, SC floor boards, custom aluminum splash guards, hand guards, custom built shifter, over-sized sealed battery, SC headlightsHandling/Suspension - Renthal bars, HPD post bushing, custom automotive outer tie rod ends, custom built upper strut mounts, WORKS 1 struts, 02' SC front springs, shock covers, tapered front wheel bearings, ITP aluminum wheels with holeshot XCT'sEngine/Driveline -modified air box, UNI air filter, TM 34MM carb, shaved head, ported and polished(by elroy), Wiesco .060 piston, RCR SC400 mid pipe, FMF shorty silencer, SunPro tach, EGT sensor, clutching(by elroy), SP700 belt, 12/30 sprockets with EK Sport chain.I've been very happy with the end results. I get asked, "What kind of machine is that?" quite a bit. I usually keep it simple and say,"It's a Polaris." Its un-officially been dubbed the "SS".
