Why do I ride a quad? Hmmmm........maybe it's because the last time I took my KX 500 out for a spin through the woods in our area, I straightened out a curve and got clotheslined by a vine! I then decided that I needed to find something with good acceleration and great stopping power. A quad was the answer. Now I have done my share of three wheeler riding and I have rode on a number of different quads, but the one I chose was a 2000 Scrambler 400 4X4. I use it for both hard trail riding and hunting believe it or not. I trail ride mostly on our hunting lease where there isn't much room for top speed riding but there is plenty of curves and thick clay type mud to boot. So great acceleration is nice! If you make a mistake riding in these woods, you never know what the outcome may be do to the extremely heavy palmetto growth and what may be hiding in it or behind it. Well that's enough of that.
