Description:
Hello, my name is Rick, my family and I live in Maine, we travel around Maine and Canada pulling our teams bikes. Our team consists of family members and friends who pull and help run the ATV pulls when we put them on.Our team pulls in all classes, including the Modified class. The Modified bikes normally have from 150 hp to 300 hp. In the improved classes you can do motor work, clutching, and have tires up to 26-12-12, but can not run nitrous. The Stock classes consists of stock bikes, with aftermarket tires, up to 26" and run in different weight classes, which are 900lb up through 1200 lb, both two and four wheel drives. They are divided by cc's, all bikes can pull in upper classes, but not lower.Three years ago, I decided we needed a Pull Sled to pratice with, so we made one, Heartbreaker I. We are now on Heartbreaker III, which weights about 6,000 lbs. The weight that travels up as you pull weights about 3,000 lbs and is full of water. It puts resistance to the ground by putting more weight as it travels up twenty foot long I beams, on a 6'x8' plate that is 1/4 inches thick. The pull Sled is counter balanced on the start, the weight box is 5' behind the rear wheels, so there is very little weight on the plate when starting.Sorry I only have a few pic's of one bike with me, I'll add more later. Yes, a helmet is mandatory when pulling. Try it, it's fun!Heartbreaker pulling team.
