For 2009 Can Am returns to the ATV scene with three versions of its venerable performance model, the DS 450. While technically introduced last year, the DS 450 X was touted for offering the lowest overall weight, lowest unsprung weight, most power and most centralization of mass. This year, Can Am has refined the X concept even further with two new terrain-specific models. Beginning with the (still available) 99 standard model, Can Am added a whole host of aftermarket goodies in creating the 50″ wide DS 450 X mx and the tight-wood racing DS 450 X xc. All of these models boast race-readiness right out of the box.
