Ask The Editors: Are There Left Hand ATV Throttle Kits?
Well if the Full Throttle Inc.’s Goldfinger wasn’t to your liking, that pretty much leaves you limited to custom built left-side throttle kits.
Fortunately there are some fabricators out there (like this one on eBay) who offer units for around $65-$75 designed to work with most Honda and Yamaha ATVs without any modification required.
We’re not sure what about the Goldfinger didn’t appeal to you but we do agree the transition from a typical throttle configuration to an inverse lever could be difficult. If all other avenues fail, it may be worth your time to bring your Goldfinger equipped quad to some area shops and inquire about potentially adapting the system to a traditional throttle set-up. Additionally, installing a twist throttle conversion kit is an option to ditch the Goldfinger’s lever set-up.
