After installing the Diamondback Bed Cover we got out our trusty Five-Star Manufacturing aluminum folding ramp, however, being only 6� in length it was little on the short side. Unloading was not too bad, but loading required finding a ditch or embankment. A call to Five-Star Manufacturing revealed they had just started building some long folding ramps. We decided on a pair of 10�, 12� wide ramps, 750lbs each capacity, that fold in half to just 5� long. These are plenty long to load quads up on the bed cover, and folded will fit under the cover, secure and out of site. These ramps would also work loading quads into the bed of high clearance 4X4 trucks that many people drive these days. We were very happy with the quality of the ramps and they have worked great! Weighing 36lbs, both fold, are easy to handle and fit real nice under the bed cover. Our 6′ ramp is little over 3 years old and has held up well even with plenty of rough treatment. We expect the same with the 10′ ramps. The cross bars have just
the right spacing for good traction and there is practically no bouncing as we have noticed on other ramps with wider spacing. The ramps come with a cable, hook, and cable clamp to help hold the ramp in place, however we opted to use tie down straps to hold the ramps in place while loading and unloading. Loading the quad up on the bed cover, which is just over 4� off the ground, the 10� ramps had us a bit spooked. A 4� fall could be real nasty, however, it was not near as bad as we thought. The ramps are very stable and we have had no problems loading or unloading. We highly recommend wearing a helmet anytime you move you quad under power and this is no exception. Always, Safety First!
