Welcome to the forum,
Sounds to me like you have a stuck float. Should not need adjusting just a good cleaning. Remove the carb and float bowl and clean it out good with carb cleaning spray. Spray all the little jets as well. I then like to dry it with compressed air.
Put it back together and it should stop coming out the over flow. Also I find it easier to get the carb out by removing the air box. If you do not do this at least check the air box for fuel as well AND double check your oil.
Fuel can run into the cylinder through an open valve and seep around the rings. Running it too long like that taters the bearings really bad and the engine will go TU very quickly. You can usually smell the fuel in the oil OR what usually happens is you notice that the oil is overfull. So once the carb is fixed check that as well.
Hope this helps

I had the same problem when I got mine same quad as yours. I found plastic shavings had came from the gas tank and made it down to the float needle hole so it was sticking open. I put a filter on my gas line and fixed the problem. The filter caught some more before it got into my carb. Must have been some plastic shavings from the manufacturing of the gas tank looked like shavings from a drilled hole.
