Recommendation for Gary Tiffany 503-320-9688
To whom it may concern:
My name is Jake. I own a 2007 Can Am DS650X. This has been a wonderful machine. I've beat the crap out of this ATV and it keeps coming back for more. I made the dreadful mistake of putting off a routine oil change and kept riding. It resulted inevitably in a rod bearing failure.
I started searching the web for this crankshaft. $378.00 was the cheapest I had found. I was considering doing the work myself, but I really didn't want to risk overseeing some small tolerance variance. Without the proper tools, I didn't feel 100% sure that I could complete the work and have it last.
I finally stumbled upon a forum as follows:

Have a new crankshaft in box call me @503-320-9688 GaryT.
I called him and inquired about the crankshaft and he changed the subject right away to WHY my crank failed and my options. He offered to rebuild the bottom end for a very reasonable cost!!
This story is lengthy, and I won't go into more detail...
Basically, I shipped him my motor, and after a few small hiccups (That he stood behind 100%), I have a running machine and i couldn't be happier. I would use Gary everytime I need something done. He knows his stuff. I wanted to post this recommendation as my experiences with him have been nothing but pleasurable (considering the circumstances).
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! CHOOSE GARY TIFFANY FOR YOUR REPAIRS!!!

Motor's doing great. Got about 15 hours on it. Some hard riding at PMI Pueblo, CO mixed with some so-so riding through the hills outside of Colorado Springs. It has been a great machine over all and only wish I'd done it sooner. Damn I miss riding and I'm totally not used to riding that hard. In fact, I'm still sore from yesterday's 4 hour endeavor.
Did you need some work done?

Glad you're happy with it. Yes, I need a build, more like a repair. Picked up a motor that he built back in the day and it has a bad crank. Wanting to send the motor up to him to have it gone through, repaired, and freshened up.
Swinging a deal on one of my 730's right now so I would like to replace that loss with a dune monster motor.
Thinking Gary is the guy to do this. I'll update if and when this all transpires.
