Default Will these tires fit my stock rims??

Hello,
I own a 2008 Suzuki Ozark 250. The stock tire size is 22x10-9. I have 22x11-9 SwampLites on my rims now. Can i fit a 12.5 inch wide tire on these stock rims? I doubt it but i just wanted to check.

Thanks!

I would think if stock was 10 inches wide and you went to a 12.5 inch wide tire and did not put wheel spacers on your tires would rub on your suspension.

An easy way to get a better estimate it to measure the distance between any frame parts, fenders, etc. and your current 11inch wide tires. You want at least 2 inches of clearance so mud won't build up and rub on anything.

Thanks for the advice. I never even thought of that. The tire will not rub on anything but the mud might build up in a few places. I will need to buy spacers. Now my question is, will these 12.5 inch wide tires fit on my stock rims? Will they fall off because they are too wide or anything? I am looking at the Interco Vampires and the skinniest with i can get for my rim is 12.5 inches wide. I am unsure if this tire will properly fit my rims.

Thank you for clearing up the wheel spacer thing for me! =)

I just looked up my stock tires on the internet. The stock tires require a rim that is 8 inches wide. The Vampires that i would like to buy requires a rim that is 9 inches wide. So my stock rims must be 8inches wide. Do you think I'd be able to get by with putting the Vampires on my stock rims? or is that a bad idea?

A rim that mounts 10" wide tires will also hold 12 " wide tires. We just did a Grizzly that had 25x8-12 over to 26x10-12 fronts and 25x10-12 over to 26x12-12 backs without a rim change needed.

Okay, I think I will go for it then. My swamp gets worse and worse everytime I drive through it and its about time I get a true Mud tire. Hopefully the Vampires will get me to where I have to go without too many troubles. Thanks again guys! =)
